These are the things people come to the Beecroft practice for.

Worry you cannot switch off, or panic that arrives out of nowhere.

Flat and exhausted, with no interest in things you used to enjoy.

Arguments that go round in circles, or drifting apart and not knowing how to talk about it.

We’ll help you spot triggers, slow the surge, and choose what happens next.

Drinking, drugs, gambling or porn that has got out of hand.

Days that feel chaotic, with everyday tasks harder than they should be.

Things that happened years ago that still affect how you feel now.

After a death, a diagnosis, or the end of something that mattered.

Psychologist & Couples Counsellor
Peter is a Registered Psychologist and Couples Counsellor. He holds a Bachelor of Psychology from Western Sydney University and has been practising as a psychologist for almost a decade.
Before moving into private practice, Peter worked across a range of settings, including early psychosis services for young people, corrective services and occupational rehabilitation. This gave him broad experience supporting people through complex and often difficult circumstances, something he brings to his work with clients today.
In private practice, Peter works with adults, both individually and as couples, supporting them with a range of concerns including anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, low self-esteem and difficulties with emotional regulation. He draws on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Schema Therapy, alongside psychoeducation, motivational interviewing, mindfulness and strengths-based, trauma-informed approaches.
In his work with couples, Peter utilises the Gottman Method, in which he has completed Level 2 training. Peter supports his couples clients to recognise what each of them needs emotionally, and works with them on the practical skills and outlook that help to keep a relationship strong. Much of this work centres on restoring the friendship at the heart of the relationship, which is so often the base upon which a lasting bond is built.
Peter believes that behaviour makes sense once we understand what drives it. Rather than focusing only on what people do, he works with clients to uncover the emotional needs underneath, helping replace self-judgement with self-compassion, and opening the door to change. Practical and empathetic, Peter offers warmth and encouragement, supporting clients to explore their worlds and relationships, turning complex problems into simple, workable ideas. His sessions are a chance to pause and give overdue attention to the parts of life that matter.
